On Board for Education" was launched by Toyota-Hawaii in May 2003 to put much-needed school supplies directly into teachers' hands and onto public, private or home-schooled students' desks.

Though originally conceived as a one-time project affiliated with the Toyota Sienna minivan, the program met with tremendous success (over $238,000 in much-needed supplies). As a result, Toyota-Hawaii decided to turn "On Board for Education" into an on-going, seasonal program -- and continue to put school supplies into the hands of teachers and students across Hawaii for many years to come.
